Dietmar Steinschorn is married and has two grown up kids. He earned his degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Vienna in 1989.

In 1993 Dietmar started using the PIMS software. From 1997 onwards OMV had an official partnership with AspenTech.

One milestone was application of the patent in Pipeline Sequencing and Scheduling Projects at OMV.

Currently he holds the position of an ‘Advisor LP Tools’, being responsible for all model changes and enhancements within the OMV group.

Recent activities include high engagement in the transition project to a new optimization environment as well as establishing LP models for Bio Optimization.
