16:00
Digitalisation & AI ICC Hall B 16:00 - 16:40
Responsible AI and advanced technology investment

As the global energy sector reaches a critical inflection point and AI continues to be integrated and adopted, investors and leaders are moving beyond experimentation to real energy action - deploying tangible, scalable AI solutions that optimise and decarbonise at scale. Spanning enabling infrastructure, semiconductors, and cutting-edge AI systems, real investment is required to ensure innovative technologies drive economic growth and enable future-proofed energy infrastructure while minimising the increasing impact tariffs are having on the sector. At the heart of these actions are energy, tech and investment professionals whose real-world decisions will shape the future. Through partnerships, they will collaboratively pave the way for the sustainable development of next-generation AI systems.

Attendee insights:

Join leading voices from energy, investment, and technology to explore how cross-sector collaboration and real leadership are laying the groundwork for responsible AI investment, delivering meaningful and measurable progress.

14:00
Digitalisation & AI Conference Room B 14:00 - 14:40
Will AI be instrumental or detrimental to the global shift to a diversified energy mix?

AI holds the power to accelerate the integration of renewables into the global energy system through smarter grid management, battery optimisation, and predictive maintenance for renewables. Yet, many are concerned that the energy-intensive training of these large language models (LLMs), combined with energy-hungry data centres, will negate the sustainable impact of renewable energy integration.

In this session, two industry experts will debate on whether:

  1. Pro: “AI will accelerate the transition to a more sustainable energy future through enabling an easier integration of more renewables into the energy mix.”
  2. Con: “The high energy demand of training these LLMs and running data centres will outweigh these benefits.”

Attendee insights:

Hear expert insights on how AI with shape the future of the energy sector – from increased efficiency, decreased costs to a higher demand for energy – and decide where you stand.
