As Vice President for the Middle East and Africa at Tencent Cloud International, Dan is driving the Middle East’s Cloud evolution, enabling governments, enterprises and startups to accelerate digital transformation through secure and efficient, AI-ready infrastructure. Before joining Tencent, Dan served as the CEO of G42 Cloud, the UAE’s leading AI and cloud provider, where he spearheaded Artemis, the supercomputer project- ranked 26th on the world's TOP 500 supercomputers and the first time a UAE initiative entered the list. Previously Dan launched Alibaba’s Cloud operations in the Middle East and Africa, building its presence from the ground up across the Gulf, Levant, Turkey and Africa while delivering exponential growth. His earlier career includes leadership roles at Huawei and 3M China. As a renowned technology leader, Dan Hu is a seasoned and engaging speaker who has spoken at many leading industry events and in interviews with leading media outlets.
