Anthony (Tony) Cottone is President and General Manager of 1PointFive, where he leads the company’s efforts to scale Direct Air Capture (DAC). In this role, he is responsible for commercial strategy and sales, advancing supportive policy frameworks, developing global carbon markets, and driving certification and product standards critical for long-term growth. Since joining Oxy in 2012, Tony has held several leadership roles across its low-carbon platform, including Vice President of Carbon Solutions and Vice President of Corporate Development & Finance, where he led commercial sales and funding strategies for 1PointFive. He brings more than 18 years of experience in strategy, finance, and low-carbon energy. Tony holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Emory University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
