The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) brings together the very companies, decision and policy makers that shape the future of oil and gas supply across 4 days of focused business, dialogue and knowledge transfer that addresses today’s energy challenges and define tomorrow’s energy landscape.
Our economy in UAE really depends on oil and gas, so getting to understand how oil is produced is really important to an Emarati.

The Young ADIPEC field trip, we place a high priority on, we always feel that there is more learning outside the class room than there is inside the class room. Our students were very impressed by the equipment’s and technologies they have seen at Schlumberger.
Vice Principal, ADNOC Schools
Bringing my students to Weatherford was impressive, especially to me. My student’s saw what’s out there in the real world and realised what they need to study and where they can go. These young students are the future, and one day they will be running these companies.

EXPERIENTIAL & EDUTAINMENT PROGRAMME
The Experiential and Edutainment Programme will be held at the Young ADIPEC exhibition stand at ADIPEC, with the participation of 600 students from 20 schools. The Young ADIPEC Experiential and Edutainment Programme consists of two key elements
Experience ZonesThis is an experiential edutainment area that aims to allow students to learn about the industry in a fun and interactive way.
Treasure HuntThis is a journey on the ADIPEC exhibition floor to meet the main players of the industry on their exhibition stands.
Young ADIPEC and The Petroleum Institute; Part of Khalifa University initiated the Outreach Programme in 2016. The objectives of the Outreach Programme are to reach out into the community and help to provide its schools with more information about science and engineering with the goal of increasing the number of students pursuing degrees in these fields.
I observed a very high potential in students during today’s visit. They all had eagerness to learn and we would very much like them to join the Petroleum Institute.
Dr. Hamad Karki
Dean of Art & Sciences, The Petroleum Institute
It is a good idea to reach Emarati students at their school, I believe it is very important to involve students in hands-on activities outside of the class room.
Abdulla Al Kuthairi
Student, Itihad High School
