The Middle East Petroleum Club’s Leadership Suite will host a series of exclusive, closed-door discussions during ADIPEC 2020, addressing opportunities and challenges facing the industry, and in particular, the positioning of the oil and gas company of the future.

The roundtables will welcome senior industry figures representing international oil and gas companies, policy makers, technology providers, innovators, the financial community, brand owners, academia and non-profit organisations.

Building on the rich discussions from 2019 the roundtables will address:

  1. How to navigate and operate in the oil and gas industry, post global pandemic
  2. How to respond to the cyclical challenge of oil price volatility and ensuing supply and demand dynamics
  3. How to respond to the carbon challenge and to position the industry as a key component of the energy transition, recognising the ever-growing need for access to affordable energy in non-OECD countries
  4. How to ensure the new generation of talent and leadership is capable of harnessing the benefits of a newly digitalised value chain and navigating our industry through volatile and uncertain futures created by an invigorated environmental agenda and geopolitical moments, plus cautiousness over future widespread pandemics
  5. How to ensure the continued backing of an agenda of innovation, providing flexible partnerships, adaptable business models and investment funded low-carbon clean technologies

To understand the complexity of energy issues, it’s important to bring people together and really hear different perspectives and you need an intimate roundtable setting to do that.
