Mohammad Al Afari

Mohammed Salem Al Afari is Senior Vice President of Marketing - at Emirates Steel Arkan. In this role, he is responsible for providing strategic direction and driving the company’s marketing programmes and initiatives in the UAE and across the world.

Bringing to his role more than 20 years of experience, Al Afari is a founding member of Emirates Steel Arkan and has played an important role in the company’s growth trajectory. He was instrumental as part of the wider team in leading the implementation of the company’s two-phased expansion project that resulted in a considerable increase in plant capacity to 3.5 million tonnes. He also championed the company’s rebranding process and spearheaded the creation of its new identity.

Alongside other members of the Executive Committee, Al Afari shares the responsibility for the development and the implementation of the company strategy, operational plans, policies, procedures and financial results. 

Mohammed Salem Al Afari holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Abu Dhabi University and a bachelor’s in Information Management from the Higher College of Technology in Abu Dhabi.
