Shahrin Ismaiyatim

Shahrin Ismaiyatim is the Global Manager for Sipchem’s Strategic Marketing & Intelligence unit, based at Sipchem’s office in Saudi Arabia.

In his current role, Shahrin leads the team that provides two key services for Sipchem – 1) advisory on what strategic markets the company is looking to participate in, which includes fronting Sipchem's initiative to use methanol in non-traditional applications, like bunker fuel; 2) price governance and market guidance to Sipchem’s Sales, Finance, Strategic Business Development, Corporate Investor Relations and Sipchem upper management teams.

Prior to this role, Shahrin headed Sipchem's global sales team for Basic products, and was responsible for the sales and marketing of methanol (the largest product portfolio for Sipchem), 1,4 butanediol and its derivatives, and the chlor-alkali chain.

He is a highly experienced petrochemicals & energy pricing professional, having worked at S&P Global Platts from 2001-2013 in London, UK, and traded currency futures and interest rates from 1991-2000, in Singapore.
