Rebeca Reguillo Carmona, Ph.D.

PhD in Chemistry, joined Borealis in 2011 as R&D Senior Scientist, focused on hydrocarbon production technologies and process chemistry. In this role, she has designed lab scale testing procedures for the evaluation of process chemistry related topics and process additives benchmarking, and provided olefin and polyolefins plants support. She is currently holding the position Group Expert in Hydrocarbon Technologies, where she provides technical expertise to Borealis hydrocarbon plants in troubleshooting, root cause identification and mitigation of process chemistry related problems. She supports Borealis’ hydrocarbon plants in the selection and decision about new feedstocks, technology solutions, technology developments within projects and existing operations. Her role also includes improving Borealis’ production processes in terms of quality, profitability and sustainability, and providing expert advice and guidance to maximize profit and minimize environmental footprint in Borealis’ hydrocarbon plants.
