Johan Defoer

Johan Defoer is a Senior Engineer Flexible Packaging Developer at the Packaging Center of Excellence. He joined the company in December 2020 and is based at Borouge Innovation Center, Abu Dhabi. In his current role, Johan is responsible for developing technical innovations in flexible packaging.

Johan Defoer has 20 years of professional experience. Prior to joining Borouge, he worked as an Application Development Engineer at Borealis. Key past experience involved ‘Concentrates & Polymer Modifiers’ and, ‘BOPP & Cast film’. He also worked for 10 years for LyondellBasell where he was responsible as an ADE for Blown, cast film and extrusion coating.

Johan earned a B.S. degree in chemistry as well as M.Sc. degrees in Polymer Processing Engineering Technology from KU Leuven Association (KHBO - Belgium).
