Bjørn Otto Sverdrup

OGCI Executive Committee
Bjørn Otto Sverdrup has been chairman of the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative’s executive committee since 2021. OGCI is a CEO-led initiative that aims to accelerate the industry’s response to climate change. Sverdrup is also a member of the OGCI’s US$1 billion-plus Climate Investment fund.
Sverdrup brings more than 20 years of energy industry leadership experience to OGCI. He has had a long career at Norwegian company Equinor, most recently as Senior Vice President for Corporate Sustainability. He is a TED speaker, as well as a guest lecturer at Imperial College, Columbia and Harvard Business School.
He lives in Oslo and is a father of three.
