Dr Noura Al Dhaheri strategically manages AD Ports Group’s Digital Cluster, under her stewardship, the Cluster plays an integral role in the region’s digital transformation efforts by enhancing stakeholder experiences and discovering new technologies that create cost and time savings, in addition to generating revenues.
Dr Al Dhaheri has led Maqta Gateway since its establishment in 2014 by successfully implementing the first purpose-built Port Community System (PCS) in the UAE, as well as developing the Advanced Trade & Logistics Platform (ATLP), the emirate’s dedicated single window for all trade via sea, land, air, and zones, currently being developed and operated by Maqta Gateway, under the Supervision of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Economic Development. Furthermore, Maqta Gateway, under Dr Al Dhaheri’s guidance introduced innovative digital logistic solutions such as Margo, The UAE’s first one-stop digital logistics marketplace and aggregator.
Widely acclaimed for her contributions to the maritime sector, Dr Al Dhaheri has won numerous accolades including Entrepreneur of the Year by International Bulk Journal (IBJ) in 2018; the Seatrade Maritime Awards for Integration of Women in Maritime Sector Award; the Seatrade Award for the Young Personality of the Year in 2019; as well as the Emirates Women Award for Leadership.
Her leadership has also been acknowledged by the International Association of Ports and Harbours (IAPH) at the World Port Sustainability Awards 2019.
Dr Al Dhaheri holds a BSc degree in Software Engineering from the United Arab Emirates University, an MSc in Engineering Systems and Management, as well as a PhD in Interdisciplinary Engineering from Masdar Institute and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
