Cathy has been involved in the maritime and transport sector since 2000 when she joined the Lloyds List/Informa Group. After working for some of the world's largest maritime information companies, she joined Digital Ship in where she also founded and led Port Finance International, a business information, training and conference portfolio focused on transport infrastructure developments and investments, which she sold in 2017.
In 2019 Cathy co-founded Smart Maritime Network – a cross-industry maritime technology harmonisation initiative and think-tank, to support collaboration and standardisation in shipping and related transport and supply chain sectors. This also includes the membership based Smart Maritime Council – which counts some of the industry’s leading companies as members. https://smartmaritimenetwork.com/smn-members/ .
A graduate of UCL (University College London), she has also undertaken advanced business, leadership, and communications courses with the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and Cranfield School of Management.
Cathy has a strong interest in the role people and culture have on driving business standards and excellence, and the role leaders play in change and transformation.
