Rod Christie

Rod Christie is Executive Vice President of Industrial & Energy Technology at Baker Hughes. He previously served as Executive Vice President of the Turbomachinery & Process Solutions business at Baker Hughes from 2017-2022. 

Prior to Baker Hughes, Rod led the Turbomachinery & Process Solutions business unit at GE Oil & Gas since 2016, where he oversaw 32 manufacturing and 12 service facilities operating across 120 countries in one of the industry’s most comprehensive equipment and service providers for mechanical-drive, compression, power-generation, and transmission solutions across all oil and gas segments and the industrial sector.

Christie joined GE in 1999 and held several operating roles, including CEO of GE Oil and Gas’ Subsea Systems & Drilling business based in Aberdeen, UK; President of GE Energy for Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS; Service Operations for GE’s Energy Services team in Europe; and Contractual Services General Manager for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India in Slough, UK.

Before joining GE, Christie spent 15 years with Scottish Hydro Electric, now Scottish & Southern Electric, in a wide range of engineering, project development, and management roles. He has an engineering degree from Glasgow Caledonian University.
