Hanan Balalaa

Hanan a. Balalaa has recently become Senior Vice President, New Energies and Hydrogen, at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) after serving as Vice President, Asset Management, since February 2021.

Prior to joining ADNOC, she was the Vice President (Portfolio Management) for Power/Water, UAE and GCC at TAQA where she joined in 2019 following four years in various Asset Management and Strategy roles with Mubadala Petroleum.

Hanan began her career in 2006 with ADNOC’s Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operation (ADCO) as a Geophysicist. She holds an Executive MBA from Zayed University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Geoscience from the University of Iowa, USA.

She currently serves as a member of the ADNOC Distribution Executive Committee since February 2022. She brings a wealth of experience in the energy sector with special focus on the energy transition and the role clean energies play in the energy mix.
