Christoph Michel is a Managing Director and Partner in the Frankfurt Office of Boston Consulting Group, the global management consulting firm and the world's leading strategy advisor.
As a member of BCG’s Energy- and Chemicals Core Groups he has a focus on projects for international clients in the oil- and petrochemicals-industry.
Christoph leads the Refining and Petchem Optimization business for BCG in Europe driving decarbonization of production assets, circularity in the polyolefins value chain and the application of digital tools for process optimization.
Christoph worked for 2 years as a researcher at the Justus-Liebig University in Gießen and was a visiting scientist at the University of Utah and the EPFL in Lausanne. Christoph holds a Diploma in Physics from the Philipps University Marburg and a PhD in theoretical Physics.
