Chief Energy Transition Officer
John joined Kent in 2000 and has assumed various operational and business development roles globally including the Middle East, the Americas and Central Asia. In 2021 John was appointed Chief Energy Transition Officer, a role which focuses on the strategic and sustainable growth of Kent’s services in Energy Transition, supporting both the decarbonisation of hydrocarbon and acceleration of renewable energies in the worlds journey to a greener future. John holds a degree in electronic engineering from Trinity College, Dublin and an MBA from Harvard business School.
Kent has more than 50 years of experience in the low carbon hydrogen industry and recently, in partnership with Essar, Progressive Energy and Johnson Matthey, completed the FEED of HyNet, the UK’s first low carbon hydrogen hub which is designed to produce 9 terawatt-hours (TWh) of low carbon hydrogen each year.
