COP28 marked the first Global Stocktake. It also inspired countries and all stakeholders to accelerate the pace of tackling climate change, put inclusivity center stage, triple renewable energy capacity to at least 11,000 GW and double the global average annual rate of energy efficiency improvements from around 2% to more than 4% every year until 2030.
ADIPEC 2024 will set forth a programme that sustains momentum on commitments and actions post-COP28, creating an ambitious energy and climate action agenda for all stakeholders across governments, industry and civil society to keep 1.5 °C within reach. In partnering to create new, multifaceted and secure clean energy systems, stakeholders are simultaneously facilitating an orderly and equitable transition that lays the foundation for a better tomorrow for all.
