Mohammed Al-Qasim is the Director of Science and Technology Adoption and Development at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, UAE. Before being assigned to his current position, AlQasim was the Director of Council Affairs at the Prime Minister Office overlooking all national and international stakeholders supporting the UAE’s Advanced Sciences dossier. From 2008 until 2019, and prior to joining the government, Al-Qasim gained national and international experience. He assumed several positions with Dubai Petroleum, TOTAL SA, and ADNOC. Al-Qasim has managed various oil and gas development projects for different countries around the world which include: UAE, Qatar, Brazil, Uganda, Kazakhstan, and Congo.
Born and raised in Dubai, Al-Qasim graduated from the University of Waterloo, Canada with a degree in Geotechnical Engineering. He was then offered a scholarship from TOTAL to complete a Master of Science in Reservoir Engineering at the Institut Francais Du Petrole, Paris before joining TOTAL full-time in 2009.
