Taher Al Dabbagh Joined IMI on its start-up phase (September 2018) as SVP Corporate Services and significantly contributed to the foundation of the HR, IT, Health & Safety, Faculty Management, and Industrial Security functions. Key accomplishments include: upgrading the IMI reward and salary structure, establishing the Master Training & Development Plan, and the enrolment of 1500 Apprentices, obtaining Health & Quality ISO certifications (45001 and 9001), development and implementation of the IFS ERP system, and Completion of Facility Management Strategy roadmap and Managing Agent appointment.
In May 2020, he took the leadership of Operation Services covering Procurement & Supply Chain, Engineering Design, Assets Management & Marine Operations, Yard Readiness & Projects Control functions. Notable achievements include enrolment in the local Content and Government Procurement Authority program, signature of Thirty-Six contracts worth more than SAR 1.8 Billion, and the development of IMI's own unique rig design (IMI2030)
Earlier in his career, he had several managerial positions in Sales, Marketing and Business Development with Unilever, Microsoft and Mobily.
Al Dabbagh obtained an EMBA from Hult International Business School and B.Sc. In Management of Information Systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and Completed professional development programs from Harvard, Stanford, INSEAD, IMD, and London Business School.
