Elie Lahoud has more than 25 years of experience in the development of high value, complex, multidiscipline EPC projects for the Onshore Upstream / Downstream Oil & Gas Facilities and Industrial Plants.
Elie joined Petrofac in 1997 at its Sharjah office. Under his leadership, Petrofac has executed a number of multibillion Dollar projects mainly in the Middle East.
Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Petrofac’s global Engineering and Construction (E&C) business reporting to the Group CEO effective 1st January 2021, Elie has overall accountability for delivery of E&C projects against company’s business plans.
Prior to becoming COO, Elie served as the Group Managing Director, in charge of running the Onshore EPC business in Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq and CIS countries as well as Offshore Capital Projects with full P&L responsibilities, reporting to the E&C COO.
As a member of Petrofac’s Group Executive Committee since 2017, Elie has been the executive sponsor for several initiatives aimed at maintaining and growing Petrofac’s competitiveness and capability such as the E&C Digital Transformation Initiative, the Delivery Assured Program, the Future Think Tank and the Petrofac Master’s Program. Elie has been supporting the development of a diverse and inclusive culture at Petrofac since his early days.
Elie sits on the International Advisory Board for the Faculty of Engineering of the American University of Beirut from where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
