Sara Regine Hassett is the Global Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Culture at Baker Hughes, a GE company (BHGE). In this role she is responsible for the design and implementation of programs, processes and initiatives to create a company culture that enables BHGE’s 64,000 employees to thrive, be inspired and do their best work each day. In this capacity, she partners with the BHGE Leadership D&I Council and a team of multi-functional stakeholders from both within and outside the company, to define diversity, inclusion and culture outcomes that will generate the greatest impact for BHGE, its customers and the communities in which it operates.
An 18+ year professional, Sara brings to the role extensive experience in leading strategic, purpose driven communications that champion collaboration and transparency across internal and external stakeholders. Since joining GE in 2006, she has held roles of increasing responsibility in marketing, brand, communications and culture curation, most recently playing a leading role in the integration planning that culminated in the creation of BHGE. Previously, Sara worked in Milan, London and New York as a communications and business consultant for leading multinational technology providers and non-profit organizations. She holds a B.A. from University College London in the UK and a Master in International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs of Columbia University in New York.
Born in Sweden and raised in Italy, Switzerland, Jamaica, Argentina, and the United States, Sara considers herself a global citizen who thrives on connecting with different cultures, experimenting with new ways of working, and building a more inclusive world. When she is not travelling, Sara is based in Florence, Italy where she lives with her husband and two strong and wonderfully unique daughters.
