Loris joined Eni in 2001 as Reservoir Engineer and spent most of his career abroad in several countries and positions working in Italy, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Congo, Italy and Iraq. He covered several positions as Operations and Deputy General Manager in Nigeria and Congo, Senior Vice President Reservoir & Petroleum Engineering in charge of all the Reservoir and Petroleum activities of Eni worldwide. 

From 2015 to 2018 he covered the position of Managing Director of Eni Iraq managing the supergiant field and mega-project of Zubair. Since March 2018, he is the CEO of Eni Abu Dhabi in partnership with ADNOC in 2 offshore concessions. 

Loris, an SPE Distinguished Member since 2013, has a long SPE record and is one of the key founder of the SPE Young Professionals activities worldwide; he covered several leadership roles at Local (Italy, The Netherlands, Nigeria, Congo) and International level in several committees and boards. He is also the Founder and co-editor of the SPE YP “The Way Ahead” magazine that till today is one of the major publications for SPE members with focus on Young Professionals Development. 

In 2007, Loris was appointed SPE International Young Professionals President. In 2008-2009 and 2011-2012 he was the chairman of the SPE Congo Section in Pointe Noire. From 2013 to 2015 he was the Chairman of SPE Italy. Loris authored and co-authored over 40 SPE papers both technical and managerial and attended as panelist in several conferences worldwide and SPE international committees. 

In 2007 he won the SPE International Young Member Outstanding Service Award in Los Angeles, in 2012 the SPE Africa Region Distinguished Service Award in Lagos, and lastly, the 2013 SPE International Distinguished Service Award in New Orleans.  

Loris hold an MSc in Mining Engineering from Polytechnic of Turin (2000), an MSc in Petroleum Engineering and Reservoir Management from the Imperial College of London (2001) and an executive MBA Master in Business and Administration from the University of Bologna (2006).
