Frederic Marbot started his first career in the French Army as Officer in 1995 where he held several operational management positions. Frederic joined TOTAL in 2005 first as security consultant in Yemen then as a staff in 2008 in Nigeria in Port Harcourt during a pick of violence both onshore and offshore. Specialized in crisis management, he also worked in the design of security reinforcement projects. He then joined Kashagan project in Kazakhstan as head of security in the newly created company NCOC consortium in charge of the relations with State security authorities (especially on all maritime aspects) and of the integration of Operator’s Agents’ security. From 2012 to 2014, he worked again in Yemen for Total E&P Yemen as security director in a security challenged context.
As of November 2014 he joined Paris headquarters as Security coordinator for the E&P branch mainly in charge of security design for new Total E&P projects (Uganda – Tanzania pipeline, Azerbaijan, Papua New Guinea, etc…) and of Affiliates’ security management systems’ audit. As of January 2017, he was nominated as Corporate Security Middle East and North Africa delegate. This entity covers the security aspects of the activities of all four Branches (Exploration-Production; Refining-Chemicals; Marketing & Services; Gas, Renewables & Power) and of the Corporate entity.
Frederic Marbot graduated in International Relations at the Ecole Speciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr (French Military Academy).
