Eng.Alshamrani currently serves as the Executive Director of Cyber Operations at the Ministry of Interior's National Cyber Security Center. He leads the nationwide effort to ensure information security and critical national infrastructure protection, and is responsible for overseeing Saudi Arabia’s Cyber Security Center Operations, Cyber Risk Management and Analysis, Cyber Engineering and Integration. He has presented at both national and regional conferences on multiple topics including: Cyber security – E-services – Cloud and IOT.
He is a reviewer of the Saudi Arabia National Plan for Communications and Information Technology (NPCIT). Founding member of Dharan ISACA chapter. He was previously a Program Manager in the Higher Commission for Industrial Security (HCIS) of the Ministry of Interior. HCIS is a regulatory body that oversees all strategies, policies and processes related to the industrial security for critical national infrastructure facilities in the Kingdom. Prior to that, he served in many multinational IT projects in defense sector association with international organizations such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and British Aerospace Systems.
He holds a Master's degree in information security from Georgia Institute of Technology. A Master's degree in Business Administration from King Abdul-Aziz University, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from King Saud University, and professional certifications such as CISSP,CCSP, CISM, 27001 LI, ITIL, PMP, PMI-RMP, PMI-SP.
