Strategy and Portfolio, Integrated Gas, Shell
Roger is Vice President of Strategy & Portfolio for Shell’s Integrated Gas (IG) business. Core areas of focus for IG include liquefying natural gas (LNG) and converting gas to liquids (GTL) so that it can be safely stored and shipped to markets around the world.
Roger is responsible for shaping the strategy and the portfolio decisions of IG. He began this role on 1 July 2017 and is based in The Hague, The Netherlands.
In his previous role, Roger was Vice President for Global Gas in Shell Trading & Supply where he led a global team responsible for Shell’s approach to the LNG market, support for joint ventures and gas advocacy.
He was formerly General Manager Global LNG (2010-2012) and prior to that Vice President New Business Development for the Asia Pacific LNG market and Director, Shell Coal Seam Gas (2008 - 2010). In his time with Shell, Roger has been a key player in building Shell’s leading global LNG production, marketing and trading positions.
Roger holds a Bachelor of Economics and Commerce from Monash University and a Master of Commerce from Melbourne University and worked in the Australian and Victorian Governments before joining Shell in 1993.
