Mohammed AlNakhi is the Technical Advisor & HSE Lead for BP in the UAE. He started his career in 2002 after receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). He is also a Chartered Mechanical Engineer by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) in the UK, in addition to having a Graduate Degree in Public Administration from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the University of Singapore, and a graduate of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Program for Leadership Development – Young Leaders and the Sharjah Leadership Program (AUS), and a Graduate Diploma in Sports Management (University of Sharjah). His career has taken him to different locations around the world.
In 2002, he joined BP as a Projects and Integrity Engineer in Sharjah and was also enrolled in BP’s fast track graduate ‘Challenge’ Program.
Since then he has worked in Abu Dhabi, the UK, and South Korea for various BP Projects
Mohammed is focused on helping BP support their Joint Venture Partners in Abu Dhabi through the Technical Corporate Governance Meetings and in HSE, in addition to actively working with ADNOC and the other Shareholders.
He is an active member with SPE and is the IMechE Country Representative in UAE. Mohammed is an active team player and leader, and is particularly committed to inspiring and encouraging UAE Nationals to work in the Private Sector and especially the Oil & Gas Industry. His hobbies include Equestrian Showjumping and active fitness activities (HIIT, Crossfit, etc..)
