Jon Newbery

Jonathan (Jon) Newbery is President and General Manager of Occidental Oil and Gas - UAE, an affiliate of Occidental Petroleum. Mr. Newbery is responsible for all the UAE Operations, including joint venture oversight of ADNOC Sour Gas. He also has oversight for regional business development, the UAE Human Resources, Information Technology and Finance departments. Jon joined Occidental in 2004 and until recently held the position of VP International Business Development based in Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Occidental, Jon worked in various technical and management positions with leading International oil companies. Jon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from the University of London and a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Geology from Imperial College, University of London.
