Excellence in Energy Awards is another feather in the cap of ADIPEC, not only will the show will bring together the largest gathering of oil and gas region outside of North America but it will also recognise excellence and innovation in the energy industry and honor leadership of participants, both at as individuals and as corporations, to the growth and development of energy industry and the communities we operate in.
Since its introduction the Excellence in Energy Awards competition has recognised individuals and organisations working in the global energy industry for setting increasingly high standards of excellence and innovation in their daily activities.

Award Categories
The awards are split over six categories that will be judged by a competent and independent judging panel. Judging panel will be selected from members of ADIPEC Conference advisory team.

Two awards will be nominated by organizers
• Energy company of the year
• Energy Executive of the year
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES: 1 OCTOBER
Judging criteria
• Demonstrable individual achievement within the energy industry, either through work or charitable endeavours that go ‘beyond the call of duty’
• Shows a commitment to the energy industry and its future
• Is recognised as a leader, innovator, motivator or high achiever
This award aims to recognise the valuable and demonstrable contribution that individuals, particularly those who don’t otherwise have a high public profile, make to their workplace, business, colleagues or the wider community.
The night will be a paid for event catering to 400-500 top industry executives in a relaxed and exciting evening on the 2nd day of ADIPEC.
3 - 5 shortlisted companies for each category will be forwarded to the judging panel for them to pick the best companies.
Judging Procedure
• Background - reasons behind the project concept
• Aims - what the project was designed to achieve
• Description and development - actions taken to carry out the project
• Impact and benefits - goal achieved through completion of project
• Reasons - why the project should be considered for the appropriate award.

In the second judging stage, the core judge will present his or her recommendations to a judging panel, consisting of leading energy professionals. The winners will be selected on the basis of the 1,000 word synopsis and how well they meet the judging criteria set out below. |
Entry Requirements
Entries may be self-nominated, (except the Individual Achievement Award) or accepted with the written consent of the nominee, and must be based on a project or achievement which took place or was completed between June 2009 and October 2010.
The awards for innovation/technology and finance deal will be given to the clients using that technology or the owners of projects while honoring the developers.
Each entry should be accompanied by the following:
1) A completed entry form – a separate form is required for each entry. The form is available at www.adipec.com/awards
2) A project summary up to 1,000 words describing the project/achievement
Ensure that your summary includes the following sub-headings:
Reasons
• Why you are entering a particular category
• Why was the project designed
• Why you should win
• How it adds value to the industry
Details
• Actions taken to carry out the project, cost involved and its benefit
Please submit your summary addressing the judges outlining your strengths and reasons to win. Please attach the summary to the completed entry form, and keep a copy for your own records.
If you wish to enter multiple categories then submit separate forms for each category with copies of relevant paperwork.

**ADIPEC reserves the right to not present an award in any category if no satisfactory nominations are received.
