INPEX JODCO

Japan Oil Development Co., Ltd. (JODCO), established in 1973, joined INPEX Group in 2004 as a wholly owned subsidiary of INPEX Corporation and owns interests in the ADMA Block located offshore Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
ADMA Block consists of five fields namely Umm Shaif (US), Lower Zakum (LZ), Upper Zakum (UZ), Umm Al-Dalkh (UA), Satah (ST).,
The Umm Shaif (US) and the Lower Zakum (LZ) fields have been producing oil since 1962 and 1967, respectively. The oil produced from these fields is transported by subsea pipelines to the islands of Das (from US & LZ) and Zirku (from UZ, UA & ST) for storage and shipment.
JODCO has been involved in the development of Upper Zakum (UZ - the largest in the block), Umm Al-Dalkh (UA) and Satah (ST) fields with oil production starting in 1982, 1985 and 1987 respectively.
Operation and development of these fields is undertaken by ADMA-OPCO and ZADCO, the two local operating companies whose shares are owned by JODCO, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and other participating oil companies.
A number of development projects are currently undergoing to expand oil output from the ADMA block, including plans to develop promising untapped structures in the block as well as redevelopment plans for the UZ field which involves the use of artificial islands.
